
The Central Georgia Regional Health Summit will will organize and conduct meetings in each of the seven target counties. Leaders and community members from each of these counties will be able to form county level working groups. These working groups will work to solve problems in their communities as well as collaborate to address health issues across the Central Georgia region.
Community Health Works organized the first meeting of leaders and community members from Bibb County on January 18, 2010. Over 20 representatives of various organizations attended the event. Attendees began work targeting three avenues to reduce obesity and improve health in Bibb County. Attendees formed three preliminary working groups to take up this challenge.
