An early start to a Saturday morning at 8:00 AM to set up for the City Market on The Green was the beginning of a very active and productive day of meeting new people and sharing information on healthy eating. CHW's display showcased the benefits of many whole foods on the body's vital functions. For example, you probably know that carrots, high in Vitamin A, a great for the eyes. But did you know that walnuts, a wonderful source of Omega-3s are excellent "brain food"?

Mattie Lovett and Rebecca Drummond provided nutrition information, including information about healthy eating habits for people with diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and provided samples of healthy, fresh whole foods such as celery, walnuts, carrots, pears and avocados. At times long conversations and surprise about nutritional information kept the team busy and in uplifting conversations all day.
